Reflecting My First Quarter Struggles

This quarter taught me the importance of time management more than ever. Handling school assignments and personal time felt overwhelming at first, but I learned to prioritize tasks using a planner. I discovered that breaking assignments into smaller steps and setting mini-deadlines helped me avoid last-minute cramming. Surprisingly, I also realized that taking short breaks between study sessions actually boosted my focus instead of wasting time. These strategies not only reduced my stress but also gave me more confidence in handling responsibilities.

The biggest problem I faced was keeping up with pre-calculus lessons. Concepts like Coterminal and trigonometric identities often left me confused. There were moments when I doubted my math skills, especially after scoring lower than expected on quizzes. Balancing this frustration with other subjects made it hard to stay motivated, and I worried about falling further behind as the quarter progressed.

To address my pre-calculus struggles, I decided to  take initiative. I spent weekends watching YouTube tutorials that explained concepts visually, which made topics understandable. Sometimes, I’d even review the next day’s lesson briefly the night before, this method somehow helped me follow along during class. Though progress was slow, these efforts slowly built my understanding and eased my anxiety about the subject.

Moving on, I will stay proactive instead of waiting until I’m lost. I’ll dedicate 20 minutes daily to reviewing tricky math topics and ask my teacher for help sooner when I’m stuck. Time management will remain a priority, but I’ll also schedule regular “mental reset” breaks to avoid burnout. Most importantly, I’ll remind myself that setbacks are part of learning—patience and consistency matter more than perfection. I’m determined to approach the next quarter with resilience, knowing every challenge is a chance to grow.

A Letter of Gratitude

 Dear President Bongbong Marcos,

As a student and a young citizen of the Philippines, I want to thank you for some of the things you have done for our country. I appreciate your efforts to improve the country's infrastructure, such as building more roads, buildings, and etc. Your focus on boosting the economy and giving jobs is important for many Filipinos who are looking for better opportunities. I also want to praise your focus on strengthening the country's ties with other nations to boost trade and cooperation. It is good to see a leader who wants to help our country grow.

However, there are some concerns I have about your administrations, I feel that more attention and budget should be given to education and healthcare, especially for students and families in rural areas who struggle the most. I believe these areas need more support so that all Filipinos can have access to good schools and hospitals. Additionally, I worry that some policies may not fully address the needs of marginalized communities. It is important that progress, benefits everyone and does not come that they'll just choose who to help.

In Conclusion, I hope you will prioritize those programs that support education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. I wish you'll response to the needs of ordinary Filipinos and work to make life easier for everyone. Thank you for listening to the voices of student like me who want to see a better Philippines for all.

Sincerely,

Keanna Kate T. Rapin

Food at Nutrition Security

Nutrition Month is always a special time, a chance to focus on importance of food and healthy eating. This year's theme " Food at Nutrition Security Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain Karapatan Natin!" emphasizing that everyone deserves access to nutritious meals.

Understanding the importance of food security was a big takeaway this month. It's not just about having enough food, but about having good food, the kind that gives you energy, keeps you healthy, and helps you learn and grow. It made me realize how lucky I am to have a regular access to healthy food, and how important it is to help those who aren't so fortunate. My Participation in Nutrition Month went beyond just learning. I actively supported my classmates who participated in the Nutri-Jingle contest. We also had a food fest at school, and I helped sell healthy snacks and drinks we'd made. This wasn't just about raising money, it was about showing everyone that healthy food can be delicious. We wanted to educate our fellow students and encourage them to make better choices.

In conclusion, this Nutrition Month was a journey of learning and collaboration. It improved the importance of Nutrition and showed me the power of teamwork and community engagement in promoting healthy lifestyles. The experiences, from supporting my friends to actively participating in the food fest, it was a month of learning, collaboration, and making healthy choices, both for myself and for others.

Whispers of a Quiet Soul

A bunch of stuff that shows something about a person's personality. I like to read a book, listen to music, butterflies, and a teddy bear. These objects represents my soul, all of these things feels really peaceful for me. A desk with a lamp, a book, some earphones, all neatly arranged. It's like a secret peek into someone's quiet moments.

I am Keanna Kate T. Rapin, I was born on October 16, 2010 at Gabriela Silang Hospital. I am 14 years old, and I lived in Bahet, San Ildefonso. My ambition when I was a kid was to be the first nurse in my family, and until now I still want to be a nurse. We are a total of 4 members in my family and I am the oldest child, so I have a one brother. I'll be thriving hard and do my best this school year, just like how I thrived hard for almost past 3 years.

I, Therefore Conclude, this captures the essence of my life. It's simple but it tells a story about me who's thoughtful and likes to keep things calm. The mix of comfy things (like the teddy bear) and things that change (like the butterflies) shows someone who's ready for a new. It's really  creative way to show how someone feels inside, and it makes you think about what things are important to them. It's a really nice way to express yourself!
